Video monitoring system equipped with artificial intelligence dedicated to railways

Monitoring

Professional equipment, developed by Polish engineers in cooperation with SSK Rail, designed for image recording in railway conditions with dedicated IP cameras with selective parameters for use in work on railway vehicles.

The data collected by the system in digital form are saved on SSDs designed to work in difficult conditions related to vibration and shock.

SSDs used in our solution are dedicated to railway solutions, they do not have any moving elements, they save data in semiconductor memory with very low susceptibility to failures, even in the case of strong magnetic fields. Technical parameters in terms of the number of records and erasing disks enable trouble-free operation for a minimum of 3 years.

Cameras designed for the solution are directly connected to the recorder via fiber optic cable. These are professional IP cameras adapted to work in difficult conditions, allowing image recording even with limited light levels, as well as in the transition from high lighting to low lighting conditions and vice versa (entering the tunnel, exit). The use of proprietary solution with fiber optic transmission guarantees high data transfer, enabling high resolution cameras without loss of quality and advanced image analysis.

The system has been tested in accredited laboratories and complies with the following norms and standards: EN-50155, EN50121: 3: 2, EN 45545, PN-EN 60068-2-1, PN-EN 60068-2-2, PN-EN 61373, PN-EN 61000, PN-EN 50125.

Recorders, converters, protections are placed in a special cabinet resistant to impacts and fire, closed with a solid lock with an individual disposable code. A multi-band GPS / LTE antenna is installed on the roof of each vehicle. An important feature of the solution is access control to the recorded material both by mechanical security of the central unit box and authorized remote access.

The use of the VOD Rail 3.0 system also allows maintaining the system's availability at the level of 98%. The solution used in this case must be reliable and leave no doubt as to the interpretation, availability and quality of the recordings.

The offered solution received a positive assessment of the State Commission for Investigation of Railway Accidents.

Security subscription

As part of the subscription model, SSK Rail installs its equipment on designated vehicles, incurs all costs associated with maintenance, repairs, periodic inspections and replacements of system components. On the user's side, the use of the system in full version remains in exchange for the monthly service fee (service model without investment on the part of the carrier with the option of changing vehicles during the contract period).

As part of the service, SSK Rail provides:

  • maintaining high efficiency of installed CCTV systems at 98%
  • conducting periodic inspections of devices
  • ensuring the necessary ICT infrastructure
  • ensuring data transmission between the vehicle and the VOD Rail 3.0 platform
  • maintaining access for authorized users from a web browser at vodrail.tv
  • maintaining high efficiency and availability of the VOD Rail 3.0 system together with adapting the system to changing regulations and recommendations of the President of the Office of Rail Transport,
  • full maintenance of the efficiency of devices installed on vehicles without additional costs on the part of the carrier. SSK Rail is only not responsible for the intentional destruction of property in use by the Carrier.
    All defects detected during standard system operation will be repaired free of charge after they are reported to the SSK Rail Technical Department.
  • periodic replacement of SSDs in accordance with Maintenance System Documentation
  • periodic replacement of the buffer power supply, accumulator battery, other worn system components according to Maintenance System Documentation.

Warranty and service:

SSK Rail monitoring systems are covered by a standard 36-month warranty period.
The warranty period can be extended up to 15 years. In addition to the warranty, we offer a comprehensive maintenance service.
If you use the VOD rail system, there is no need to report problems and service requests come automatically from the VOD Rail system.
